1. How do I deposit funds into my account?

Your account can be funded by a personal check, cashiers check (with remitter's name provided by issuer), wire transfer, account transfer from your existing brokerage, or stock certificates. MF Global and MF Global Inc. do not accept cash or money orders.

2. Where do I send deposits and to whom do I make checks payable?

  • If you have an existing account with MF Global Inc., be sure to include your account number in the memo section of your check.
  • Funds deposited via personal check will not be available for a period of 2-3 days following deposit.
  • Cashiers checks and money orders are available for trading the next business day following deposit.
  • Funds deposited by personal check will not be available for withdrawal for 10 calendar days. This includes wire requests and check requests.
  • MF Global Inc. will not accept third party checks.

3. How do I know that MF Global Inc. has received my funds?

Once we have received your funds, they will be reflected, in real time, on your balance screen. Deposits of $20,000 or more are available to trade 5 days after receipt.

4. Can I fund my securities account using physical stock certificates?

Yes, you can use stock certificates to fund your account. The answer to the next question will give you complete directions on how to deposit stock certificates into your account.

5. How do I send stock certificates to MF Global Inc.?

Stock certificates can be used to fund your MF Global Inc. account. There are two ways to fund your account using stock certificates. When filling out your stock certificate, please feel free to contact a customer service representative at 888.281.9569.

Method 1: Fill out the back of the stock certificate using the sample in our document center. Send the certificate to:

For your protection we recommend sending your certificates registered and priority overnight.

Method 2: Send the stock certificate registered mail to the above address without filling in the back of the certificate. Second, fill out the Irrevocable Stock or Bond Power form at our document center. Make sure you mail both forms separately.

Once we receive your signed stock certificate or signed stock power, it will be authenticated and deposited within 3 to 5 business days. The stock will then show up, real time, on your position screen and be available for trading purposes.

6. How do I transfer securities from my existing broker-dealer?

It's easy to transfer an existing account to MF Global Inc. If you don't have an account at MF Global Inc., open a new account and specify that you want to transfer an account from another brokerage firm. You may transfer securities to your MF Global Inc. account by completing an account transfer form or ACAT, which may be downloaded from our document center. Attach a copy of your last monthly statement and send it to MF Global Inc. A firm to firm transfer takes between 7 and 10 business days once we have been notified. 7. How do I wire transfer funds to my MF Global Inc. account?

8. How do I withdraw funds from my MF Global Inc. account?

You can withdraw funds by check or wire transfer. To have a check sent to you, contact a Client Services Representative at 888.281.9569. Also, you may fax or mail us a letter of authorization. Include your full name, account number, amount, and signature. For security reasons, we only send checks to your address on file. If you request a check be send overnight, there is a Federal Express fee of $15.00 or a wire fee of $25.00.

To request a wire transfer of funds out of your account, fill out a wire transfer request form which can be printed from the document center. Fax or mail the completed wire transfer form to:
